The 2025 Global Top 50 Construction Machinery Summit Asia Forum recently concluded in Indonesia. In the highly competitive “Asia Construction Machinery Product of the Year” awards, XCMG’s XCA120G7-1H all-terrain crane emerged as the sole winner from China, standing out among numerous contenders from other countries. This marks a significant milestone for XCMG as the only Chinese crane product to receive this prestigious recognition at the summit.

XCMG’s “China Customization” Addresses Complex Asian Working Conditions

Designed to meet the unique demands of Asian construction environments, the XCA120G7-1H was developed with a deep understanding of the region’s diverse working conditions. These include the humid, salt-laden sea winds of Southeast Asia, the narrow operational spaces in East Asia’s aging urban centers, and the frequent heavy equipment relocations involved in Belt and Road projects. XCMG’s R&D team conducted thorough research, analyzing over 1,000 typical construction cases across Asia, and identified four core needs: flexibility, durability, safety, and efficiency.

Leveraging the advanced G2 generation crane technology platform, the XCA120G7-1H incorporates 21 key technological breakthroughs and 11 proprietary innovations, ensuring a fully customized solution for all working conditions. In Southeast Asia, the crane can transport 24.6 tons of counterweight, covering over 90% of operational requirements at bridge construction sites. In Singapore, it enables millimeter-level precision for municipal precision lifting projects. Additionally, the XCA120G7-1H stands out for its narrow road passability and heavy-duty corrosion resistance, features that have made it especially popular in Southeast Asia.

This outstanding performance is the result of rigorous testing, including 178 extreme machine tests, 100,000 kilometers of real-world road trials, and thousands of working condition simulations. These efforts have ensured the crane’s reliability and stability, even in the most demanding environments.

XCMG’s Global Expansion Supported by Technological Innovation

The recognition received by the XCA120G7-1H is a direct outcome of XCMG’s robust global strategy and its ongoing efforts to implement a “dual-drive” approach to its business operations. XCMG continues to prioritize technological innovation as the cornerstone of its global development, establishing a comprehensive R&D network that spans from China to the high-end markets of Europe and the United States, and into emerging economies.

XCMG’s advancements in Europe and the U.S. are particularly noteworthy. In Germany, the XCA130_E has demonstrated exceptional performance alongside top-tier international brands; in Bosnia-Herzegovina’s Ivovik wind farm, the XCA2000 efficiently completed wind turbine installations; in the Netherlands, the world’s first hybrid all-terrain crane, the XCA60_EV, has earned accolades in the environmental sector; and in the United States, the XCT60_U has excelled in narrow-space operations.

Moreover, in regions along the Belt and Road, XCMG’s equipment has become a vital asset in infrastructure development. From Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea New City’s sand control systems to the precise lifting operations at Cebu Airport in the Philippines, and full-line support for the China-Laos Railway, XCMG products are playing a critical role in projects across more than 95% of the Belt and Road nations. As a result, XCMG continues to lead in market share in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Commitment to Excellence in Service and Support

While the XCA120G7-1H’s award highlights XCMG’s technological prowess, the company’s integrated global service, R&D, and spare parts system provides the foundation for continued success. By 2025, XCMG’s products are present in 195 countries and regions worldwide, with crane exports surpassing 20,000 units. In its global expansion efforts, XCMG views service as its “second lifeline.” Chairman Yang Dongsheng has emphasized the importance of establishing XCMG as a trusted and reliable brand, ensuring that the company lives up to its promises of “honesty and integrity” in all of its operations.

XCMG’s global service network, comprising 14 overseas regions, more than 50 subsidiaries, over 300 distributors, 2,000+ service outlets, and thousands of service engineers, operates efficiently to provide timely responses to customer needs.

In addition to its service network, XCMG has implemented an innovative four-level spare parts supply system: Headquarters Warehouse + Regional Center Warehouse + National Warehouse + Distributor and Project Warehouse. With 81 warehousing points and nearly 140,000 square meters of storage space, this system ensures that over 80% of spare parts demands can be met within 24 hours, guaranteeing the smooth operation of XCMG equipment worldwide.

For the Southeast Asian market, XCMG has set up a regional service center in Singapore, covering countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. The service center is equipped with a 24-hour online fault diagnosis platform, ensuring a response time of within 2 hours, arrival within 4 hours, and completion of repairs within 24 hours.

XCMG continues to demonstrate the strength of Chinese manufacturing and innovation on the global stage. Through its gold-standard products and services, XCMG has earned recognition for its industry-leading technology and reliable performance, positioning itself as a key player in the global construction machinery market.
