XCMG Road Machinery Advances Cooperation in Indonesia’s Road Construction Sector through Buton Asphalt Technology Exchange
On August 19, 2026, XCMG Road Machinery participated in the Indonesia Buton Asphalt Technology Exchange Conference and Product Promotion Event, strengthening cooperation with government authorities, industry associations, and road construction partners in Indonesia.
The event, organized by the Indonesian Asphalt Concrete Association (AABI), gathered around 200 representatives, including officials from Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works and Housing Directorate General of Highways, West Java Provincial Road Agency, West Java–Jakarta National Road Management Center, asphalt industry representatives, contractors, and road construction professionals.
As a key industry organization in Indonesia, AABI actively promotes the application of local Buton natural asphalt, while supporting technical exchanges, industry standard development, and professional training within the road construction sector.
Buton asphalt is a unique natural asphalt resource originating from Buton Island, Indonesia. Formed through millions of years of geological processes, it consists mainly of natural asphalt and limestone minerals. As a road asphalt modifier, Buton asphalt features high softening point, excellent adhesion and strong aging resistance, helping improve the high-temperature stability, water resistance and durability of asphalt pavement.
Together with local dealer PJM, XCMG Road Machinery participated as the exclusive construction machinery sponsor of the event. During the conference, XCMG introduced its company profile and comprehensive road construction solutions, while showcasing a range of equipment including the XM2005KIII milling machine, XM1005H milling machine, RP605 paver, and XMR403 roller.
During the technical exchange session, XCMG Road Machinery discussed equipment solutions for Buton asphalt applications with government representatives, industry experts, and customers. The AABI Chairman recognized the compatibility between XCMG road equipment and Buton asphalt construction processes, highlighting XCMG’s professional capabilities in road construction machinery.
At the event, XCMG Road Machinery delivered an XM2005KIII milling machine to Indonesian customer PT VR. The machine will be applied to municipal road maintenance projects in Jakarta, supporting more efficient urban road rehabilitation.
