At the Simandou iron ore project in Guinea—the world’s largest undeveloped iron ore deposit—30 units of XCMG XGE110 electric mining trucks have achieved a comprehensive availability rate of over 90%, demonstrating stable performance under extremely challenging operating conditions.

The project features mountainous terrain, tropical rainforest surroundings, and a 4-kilometer heavy downhill haul road with an average gradient of 10%, operating on two shifts over 13–15 kilometer routes. With a 70-ton rated payload, the XGE110 delivers strong productivity while consuming only 4.2% of the energy of traditional diesel mining trucks and achieving 1.6 times higher operating efficiency.

Since entering operation in September 2024, the XGE110 fleet has maintained continuous and reliable performance, helping customers reduce operating costs and improve efficiency. To date, XCMG has delivered more than 400 units of mining equipment to the Simandou project, supported by its global service network, which provides on-site, full-lifecycle service for large-scale mining operations and supports the industry’s green transition.
