On March 16 (local time), Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the commissioning ceremony of the No. 3 Copper Concentrator in Almalyk, Uzbekistan. With a total investment of USD 2.7 billion, the project—widely regarded as a landmark of the “New Uzbekistan”—has officially been put into operation. XCMG Group played an important role in supporting the project’s construction.

Providing a comprehensive portfolio of equipment solutions and demonstrating strong execution capabilities, XCMG contributed to the smooth advancement of the project. More than 400 units of XCMG equipment were deployed throughout the construction process, marking a significant step forward for Chinese high-end mining equipment entering the Central Asian market at scale.

The XE700D mining excavator achieved a breakthrough as one of the first Chinese models in its class to be exported overseas in large quantities. Meanwhile, large-tonnage rollers and tower cranes made their debut in the Uzbekistan market, and 200-ton all-terrain cranes were delivered in batches, underscoring XCMGs capabilities in heavy-duty and large-scale engineering equipment.

During construction, XCMG equipment was extensively applied across key stages including earthworks, material handling, and structural lifting. Operating in coordination with advanced equipment from multiple countries, it delivered stable and reliable performance, effectively ensuring project progress and quality.

As one of the largest and most comprehensive copper concentrators in Central Asia, the No. 3 plant is expected to significantly increase Uzbekistan’s copper concentrate output and serve as an important driver for industrial upgrading and resource value-added processing. In his address, President Mirziyoyev noted that the project represents a major milestone in enhancing the country’s industrial capacity.

From major international projects to large-scale industrial developments, XCMG continues to support infrastructure and industrialization efforts across Belt and Road partner countries, contributing to sustainable growth and mutually beneficial cooperation.
