Africa is accelerating infrastructure building with growing demand for construction machinery. XCMG has launched landmark projects in South Africa and Angola, expanding Chinese engineering equipment’s influence and advancing China-Africa infrastructure cooperation via premium products, integrated solutions and localized services.

In Johannesburg, XCMG’s first XM1305F milling machine started operation on a busy municipal road, the model’s debut in South Africa. The road carries over 5,000 vehicles daily with half-lane construction adopted for traffic safety. It achieves 200mm deep milling at 3.5m/min, generating evenly graded recyclable asphalt. Its retractable conveyor avoids material pile-up, lifting construction efficiency by 40% versus local old equipment.
Running 8 straight hours under 32°C high temperature and dusty conditions, the machine maintained zero breakdowns with stable hydraulic and cooling systems. Timely on-site maintenance and spare parts support earned high praise from the construction team, offering an ideal solution for local road renovation.
Separately, XCMG delivered over 100 sets of full-range road machinery to a major Angolan contractor for key highway projects, the largest single machinery order in Angola in a decade. The package includes crushing, earthmoving and paving equipment covering the whole road construction process, with mobile and stationary crushing lines entering the country in bulk for the first time.

XCMG coordinated production, logistics and after-sales links to ensure punctual delivery, and the machines will be put into use in batches. As Angola speeds up infrastructure expansion, XCMG’s complete product lines and local services greatly boost local road building efficiency.
The successful cases in the two countries fully prove the strong competitiveness of Chinese construction machinery. XCMG will keep exploring Africa, fuel local infrastructure development with reliable equipment and deepen China-Africa transport cooperation.
