JUBAIL, Saudi Arabia, Nov. 2025  — The first tower equipment lift at the Amiral Project in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, was successfully completed, marking a major milestone for XCMG’s 4000-ton crawler crane. As the main lifting equipment, the crane flawlessly executed the complex task of lifting and precisely installing a 1,065-ton tower in place, showcasing its unmatched strength and capabilities.

This critical lifting operation was managed by Sinopec's Shipping and Handling Company, with full support from the XCMG team, who provided continuous equipment and technical services throughout the project. Despite the project’s tight timeline and challenging environmental conditions, the team completed the lift with impressive efficiency.

The tower to be lifted was massive and structurally intricate, posing significant challenges. In addition, the region’s unpredictable wind speeds and frequent sandstorms further tested the crane’s stability and the precision required for high-altitude work. To meet these challenges, the project team implemented a "yard pre-assembly + on-site relocation" strategy, optimizing the schedule and completing the assembly, testing, and commissioning of the large main unit in just 10 days after its arrival on-site.

On the day of the lift, XCMG’s 4000-ton crawler crane worked in tandem with a 600-ton crawler crane, using a "main lift + tailing" coordination model. The site leader from Sinopec’s Shipping and Handling Company expressed his satisfaction, stating: "Under harsh construction conditions, XCMG’s crawler cranes proved to be stable and reliable, truly delivering on their promises and creating significant value for our team."
