XCMG Brazil｜XCMG Brazil Becomes the First Construction Machinery Plant to Receive Overseas CMMM Level 3 Certification

SHANGHAI, Nov. 2025 — XCMG Brazil has become the first overseas factory in the global construction machinery industry to receive the CMMM Level 3 Certification, marking a major milestone in the international implementation of China’s advanced intelligent manufacturing standards.

The recognition was announced at the Intelligent Manufacturing Capability Maturity Model (CMMM) Forum, hosted by the China Electronics Standardization Institute under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Held in Shanghai under the theme “Standards Upgrade, Overseas Practices, Ecosystem Expansion,” the forum gathered more than 500 representatives from MIIT, the Shanghai municipal government, academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, members of the National Expert Committee on Intelligent Manufacturing, leading manufacturers, and academic institutions.

As an industry representative, XCMG Group joined other enterprises in signing the Joint Initiative on Strengthening Collaboration and Deepening the Application of Intelligent Manufacturing Standards. During the event, the Expert Committee on Intelligent Manufacturing presented the first batch of CMMM certificates for overseas factories.

Backed by over a decade of deep localization and continuous digital and intelligent development in Brazil, XCMG Brazil earned the CMMM Level 3 Certification, demonstrating that China’s advanced intelligent manufacturing capability framework has successfully taken root in major overseas production bases.

As global manufacturing undergoes rapid transformation, competitive drivers are shifting from cost-based advantages to a comprehensive strength shaped by technology, standards, and brand. The certification marks not only a significant breakthrough for XCMG in intelligent manufacturing, but also a vivid example of the company’s push to accelerate the global adoption of Chinese standards.
