On February 3, XCMG Group hosted Fortescue Co-CEO Mr. Greg and his delegation to witness the launch of two world-first prototypes: the largest all-electric wheel loader and all-electric wheel dozer.

These machines are the first results under the zero-emission equipment supply framework between XCMG and Fortescue. They are designed to support 70–130-ton mining trucks with efficient, zero-carbon operation. XCMG will supply over 100 zero-emission heavy mobile machines to Fortescue’s Pilbara mining operations.

Mr. Lu Chuan, President of XCMG Machinery, said: “The rollout of these custom-built prototypes marks a new milestone in our collaboration. XCMG will leverage the full R&D–production–supply–sales–service–finance value chain to ensure the successful implementation of Fortescue projects and contribute to global green mining development.”

Mr. Greg added: “These prototypes demonstrate real progress in deploying decarbonization technologies and achieving true zero emissions by 2030.”

The Fortescue delegation also visited XCMG’s Mining Machinery Division to inspect project-specific equipment, including the world’s largest electric mining water truck, XDE150ES. After initial testing, the equipment will be shipped to Australian mines for further on-site trials and optimization.
