As global mining operations face increasingly stringent requirements for safety, energy efficiency, environmental protection, and productivity, the electrification and intelligent transformation of mining equipment has become a widely recognized industry trend.
This cooperation marks another important step in XCMG’s strategy to integrate more deeply into the global mining industry chain and to better serve large international mining customers.
In recent years, XCMG has continued to increase investment in new energy and intelligent technologies, building a comprehensive zero-carbon mining equipment portfolio. This lineup includes autonomous electric mining trucks, ultra-large electric mining excavators, and electric wheel loaders.
Among these innovations, a fleet of one hundred autonomous pure electric mining trucks jointly developed by XCMG has already achieved large-scale operation at projects such as the Huaneng Yimin Mine in China. In addition, through cooperation with leading Australian mining companies, XCMG is actively advancing the development of zero-emission mining solutions worldwide. XCMG’s new-energy heavy trucks have also been exported to nearly 100 countries and regions, maintaining a leading global market share.
The signing of this MoU represents not only an important milestone in XCMG’s expansion in the South American market, but also a symbolic achievement in deepening cooperation between China and Chile in the field of mining equipment. Looking ahead, XCMG will continue to drive innovation through advanced technology and work with global partners to promote safer, cleaner, and smarter mining equipment, contributing XCMG solutions to the global green transformation of the mining industry.
