XCMG and Cummins Sign Joint Venture Agreement to Drive High-Quality Development of Xuzhou Meritor

On March 3, XCMG and Cummins Inc. jointly announced the signing of a joint venture cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, the two parties will further deepen strategic collaboration around their jointly operated company, Xuzhou Meritor Axle Co., Ltd. (Xuzhou Meritor).

Building on their existing cooperation model, the partnership will expand into whole-machine system integration optimization and new-energy technologies, with the cooperation extended through 2036.

XCMG and Cummins share a long-standing and solid foundation of cooperation. Over the years, the two companies have built a multi-level partnership covering product integration, technology collaboration, and market expansion around core construction machinery products and system solutions. By leveraging their respective strengths in equipment manufacturing and power technology, the two sides have continuously advanced product upgrades and technological innovation, supporting the high-quality and sustainable development of the construction machinery industry.

Through the new joint venture agreement, XCMG—acting both as a shareholder and a core customer—will provide comprehensive support to Xuzhou Meritor, including order allocation, technology collaboration, resource integration, and market channel expansion. Meanwhile, Xuzhou Meritor will leverage Cummins’ globally leading technologies and resource network to introduce advanced R&D capabilities and manufacturing standards, optimize its production and supply chain systems, improve operational efficiency, and shorten delivery cycles. These efforts will enable the company to deliver more competitive and customized solutions for customers worldwide.
